In summary, the puzzle quality is amazing, and it does well enough in most other categories to make it a great game all-round. I’m compiling everything I find here and will add the solution once I have it. Since you find the story in notes it just feels really weird, but it’s still slightly nice to get the character’s point of view, and the serenity of the place, as it already feels fantastic, is made better by this, but overall it’s just a compiled mess of random character things that is impossible to figure out. Pine Studio’s Faraway: Puzzle Escape has some really bizarre meta puzzle going on once you complete the game and find all the letters. The music is still good enough that I don’t swap it out for something else, like I normally do. Multiple times I found myself figuring out what to do and going “oh that’s sooo cool!”, so quality of the puzzles is fantastic.Īs for music and visuals, the visuals are oddly nice, and even if a bit rudimentary, they’re anything but bad-looking. The puzzles are great, the idea that you just get a bunch of random looking red stuff and have to figure out what to do with it yourself, while it may not be for everyone is definitely something I’m a fan of. Nether the less, I like this little iOS series of puzzle games. Then pull the yellow ring on the left to reveal another gadget. I just don’t like the fact that you have to dig deep into something that probably would have been more enjoyable and enticing for other players if it wasn’t so hard to find and understand. I’m not saying that it is a bad story, I like the characters perspective of the place and the inner turmoil and tormenting emotions that dwell within him as the journey continues. Description In Faraway you're an adventurer exploring the ruins of ancient temples full of challenges and mysterious puzzles. My only other main problem is that story being told through notes. I don’t know weather they removed it or if it’s a bug or something? But I miss it. Ever since the new update, I can’t hear any of the games music. In Faraway you're an adventurer exploring the ruins of ancient temples full of challenges and mysterious puzzles. It kind of reminds me of monument valley in that, despite being pricey for how short the game really is, the game wins you over with it’s interesting puzzle mechanics and it’s beautiful music that is hard to find in any other game like this. Yes this game is not for everyone I understand that, but nether the less, it has a charm to it that I really like. But, if you look at it for a logical standpoint, I could see this series of games working out in the end. I’m going to be honest and say that for an iOS game (or any puzzle game in general), this one may not stand out that much. My only concern is the “lack of music” bug
